  how do most of you now feel about the military?

  was not sure where to post this, but i was curious, how do some of you now feel about the military?

  would any of you let your children enlist, or would you yourselves join any military field?

  how do you feel about the idea of women in the military?

  Question?

  They had no regrets and were proud for being over there, why?

  What are they so proud about?

  The people they killed or their friends that got killed or the people that came back and killed themselves?

  For what? Why?

  Ever think that the North Viet Nam people are just as proud about how they killed for their country too.

  Everyone is "proud" to serve "proud" to kill "proud" die for their countries.

  So is god only loves the usa and proud of their solders?

  The two biggest things that are destroying this planet is religion and governments.

  You guys got free of one, time to get rid of the other.

  because the U.S. govt IS severely corrupt, and sees its great soldiers as mere disposable pawns rather than precious lives.

  yes sad but true.

  Sadly the military of today are no more the security guards for America's corporations.

  War and killing are bad ideas. Why is it that the governments only want 18 and 19 year kids as soldiers because they are stupid and will do just about anything they bare told!

  The Jws have got this one right.

  I didn't go to Viet Nam and don't wish I did. Over a million South and North Viet Nam people, men women and children died in the war. Over 55,000 Americans died in that undeclared war also.

  How many Americans really died in that war who knows. Because many came back and took a gun to the heads. Which happen to five guys who went to my high school alone, Not one of my class mates died in the war but 5 guys came back and killed themselves!

  And why did they do that? Because on some level they didn't like watching or killing the men women and children themselves. Big surprise! Maybe this is why we have so much PTS now.

  So just why did all this people have to die?

  So Viet Nam would not become Communistic? NO! They did and way!

  They died for our save our "freedom" NO!

  Viet Nam being Communistic has NOT affected this country's freedom one bit!

  So we don't like counties to become Communistic because that would effect "our freedom" bull shit. Well, if that is true why didn't this country invade Cuba? They are just 90 miles away.

  So you tell me, what did they died for? This is a simple one.

  That's right, NOTHING!

  There is only one thing that is more stupid then people who sent their children to war! The stupid children that go!

  Yes, my friends the Jehovah's Witnesses got this one right!

  Fifteen years later life couldn't be better. I'm engaged to a wonderful woman, a women who things for her self. She is nothing like the loveless "Stepford JW wife" I was married to.

  i was at a wedding the summer before i left the jws and i met an old friend.

  he had been reinstated for 6 months, he was dfed for 4 years.

  so it took him 3 1/2 years before they would let him back in.

  as a kid, i used to go to the local library and secretly read books by so called apostates.

  later, i would sneak into christian book stores and quickly buy a book or two.

  P.S That friend of mine later left again but for good this time. He found out the hard way that there was never any real love there. As so many here have found out.

  No matter how much they want to think they are different then other religions they really are the same as everyone else. Judgmental and self righteous.

  how often do you, ........ no not that, how often do look at this forum ?

  and how long does it last,....... no not that again (one track minds) how many looks are you addicted to a day?

  keep coming back to see anything new, or do you look at posters who you know from experience have comments that will interest you?.

  Been here for 14 years.

  My pattern is to hit and run. I come here every couple of years. Hit it really hard for a about a month and leave again.

  As wonderful as this place is, once you are healthy move on.

  I was at a wedding the summer before I left the JWs and I met an old friend. He had been reinstated for 6 months, he was DFed for 4 years. So it took him 3 1/2 years before they would let him back in. Because he had been an elder they wanted him to pay the full price.

  He had been an elder for 10 years before that, He had commited adultery with another "brothers" wife. Who he was now married to.

  I asked him how it was going. He said "not to good" "Why" I asked. "well" he said "I lost most of my friends, they just don't like hanging around someone who screwed up!" He said "They act like I have some kind of disease that maybe catching?"

  I said "Did you kill anyone?" "What?" he asked. "DID YOU KILL ANYONE?"

  "NO!" He said.

  "Well King David, KILLED some one and committed ADULTERY, and God could forgive him!" I said.

  "Well I guess I'm not King David" He said.

  "Yes by their love you will.....
